Interra Testimonials

People are talking about The Interra Project:

"The Interra model has the potential to transform the Cultural Creatives subculture into an economic reality. Such a process would have huge significance, not only economically, but also in the social and the consciousness awareness realm."
- Bernard Lietaer, author,
"The Future of Money"

"I have dreamed of ways to coalesce the purchasing power of movements for a more equitable, peaceful and ecologically sustainable world."
-
Hazel Henderson, economist and author, "Beyond Globalization"

"The Interra model is a brilliant social and financial invention that can help bring a green economy into greater practicality. This is hot stuff, and needs all our support. It functions rather like an alternative currency or an airline miles program, to help encourage mutual loyalty among green/socially responsible consumers. In particular, it does a better job of incentivizing a mutual loyalty of businesses and customers who share the same values."
- Paul H. Ray, author,
"The Cultural Creatives"

The purpose of the program is to provide citizens, local businesses and not for profits access to information and technology enabling them to shop locally and share locally. The program promotes shopping at participating businesses while rewarding customers and donating to their favorite causes. The program directs money to local businesses and nonprofits creating a way for citizen-consumers to make choices about their spending and directly affecting where money circulates within our community.

PSCC provides a new source of dollars flowing to schools and nonprofits. The program brings together the civic, nonprofit and business sectors and enables them to leverage the power of the consumer dollar to reverse negative social and environmental trends in communities. Consciousness + commitment = change

Over the next five years we will roll out the Puget Sound Community Change program in the twelve counties surrounding the Puget Sound and its nearly 7 million residents. Our objective is to engage 2,500 participating businesses and 1% or 70,000 of the Puget Sound residents. By reaching our program objectives we will:

* donate over $12,000,000 to non profits and schools
* redirect nearly $100,000,000 in consumer spending
* create over 300 new jobs in our local community
